Take a Tour of the Best Borough

We’re taking a lovely break in France right now, and while it’s fun to catch up with the family over long dinners and perfectly chilled wine, we always miss our home of Brooklyn. There’s so much to love there, and we thought summer would be the perfect time to share our favorite places around the borough. Ready for a tour?

Favorite coffee shopOslo on Roebling Street
There are many contenders for best coffee in Brooklyn, but a day doesn’t feel complete unless it started here.

Favorite cultural spotThe Brooklyn Museum
Not as crowded as The Met, but just as packed with must-see exhibitions. The recent David Bowie retrospective was simply amazing and we can’t wait to revisit Pierre Cardin in this beautiful space.

Favorite restaurantSimple Café and Bozu
Depending on whether we feel for French food with an Algerian flair or fresh and fabulous sushi, these two always hit the spot.

Favorite street: Oak and Milton streets in Greenpoint
For the beautiful brownstones that scream “Dream Brooklyn.”

Favorite cocktail barHotel Delmano and St. Mazie
We love the speakeasy vibe of the first one and listening to live music at the other.

Favorite touristy thing to do: A ferry ride on the East River
Standing outside to catch the view of Manhattan, of course.

Favorite park: Transmitter Park
See above. That view never gets old.

Favorite mode of transportation: a bike
It’s the best way to get the full Brooklyn experience, but be sure to wear a helmet!
